It feels incredibly harsh to criticise any aspect of a Liverpool team that is in the midst of cruising to the Premier League title.

And that is particularly true of an attack that has done its job in outscoring every other team in the division en route to that success.

However, it is not just supporters who want this remarkable season to be followed by sweeping changes up top.

Indeed, it is understood that Arne Slot is also keen to tweak his forward options when the summer transfer window opens in order to aid his bid to bring further glory to Anfield.

That is despite the fact that one of the Dutchman’s greatest wins of his short reign has been eking more out of a group of forwards who had badly underperformed the year prior.

As can be seen below, every single one of the Reds’ front line apart from Diogo Jota has bettered their performance against expected goals this season versus the last.

An improvement in finishing is also evident across the conversion rate where, again, only Jota has fallen short of his previous standards.
