Wolves 1-2 Liverpool: Quietly impressive defending, Jota summed up
Diogo Jota put on a curate's egg of a performance while Ryan Gravenberch shone again as Liverpool beat Wolves.
Liverpool moved top of the Premier League as they claimed a hard-fought 2-1 win over Wolves at Molineux.
The Reds took the lead at the end of an evenly contested first half as Ibrahima Konate headed home, but they were pegged back early in the second when a mistake from the Frenchman was punished by Rayan Ait-Nouri.
However, Mohamed Salah grabbed the winning goal soon after, smashing home a Diogo Jota-won penalty.

Worrying signs? Or sign of champions?
Whether you are a glass-half-full or glass-half-empty kind of person, this game had something for you.
For the pessimists, a sloppy performance at Molineux will serve as proof that Liverpool don’t quite have it in them to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal this season.

Either way, the best place to be when considering that fact is surely on top of the Premier League.
Jota summed up by match-winning display
As the game moved into first-half injury time here, Jota had won 0/4 ground duels, taken zero shots, created zero chances and completed zero dribbles.
